My most recent venture is the Mara Menstrual Support Kit which addresses Menstrual Health Management for school going girls especially in Upper Northern Uganda, and empower them to make their own reusable sanitary towels. This aims at reducing rates of teenage pregnancy and improve school attendance. Furthermore, I am the Proprietor of Zoya Enterprises, a business that deals in various goods and services from beauty to food distribution, both in and out of Uganda. I would like to extend my utmost gratitude to all the individuals and entities that stood with the Miss Uganda Foundation and I both during and after my reign, the Kezzi Entertainment family, friends and family, Good Shepherds Fold Children’s Home where I was raised for most of my childhood, to mention but a few.. THANK YOU! God Bless you.
There are many events in a person’s life with tremendous effects, but only a few of them are as significant in defining a new start in an individual’s life’s path. Apart from growing up in the orphanage, another one of mine was being crowned Miss Uganda 2012! And 9 years later I’m better for it, especially as the negative points, shunning and the obstacles I faced during and after my reign served to toughen my skin and make me more compassionate. Godzilla with emphasis on GOD, I always say. I believe that all young people are related regardless of origin as they meet somewhere due to the fact that their challenges are similar worldwide, we understand each other easily, ambitious ones even have common interests and goals. This made me even more passionate!
Thanks to the opportunities the Miss Uganda title availed me, I have had the pleasure to and will always work with young people. And on that note, I’d like to take this opportunity to welcome aboard individuals and entities that share this same dream with me; for a future where young people are enabled with skills, safety, knowledge in their struggles to achieve goals! Caring is the gift of making the ordinary feel special! It’s been tremendously fulfilling and still ongoing. Since my crowning in 2012, I have devoted my time to work on a a number of programs and activities that focus on girls, women and youth. These include, the launch of the Keep A Girl Child in School campaign in 2012 where we petitioned to the speaker of parliament in regards to the rising cases of teenage pregnancies, worked on a number of Reach A Hand Uganda(RAHU) projects as a mentor and sharing my story with young people during school outreaches, worked with Village Power to power village households with solar energy so that the young girls are able to study from home and encourage them to stay in school, was actively involved in the Live Your Dream and Books Before Babies campaigns with UNFPA and DANIDA, and I have also continuously trained and mentored young ladies contesting for the Miss Uganda pageant since 2014. I am now currently working as an Ambassador for Child's i Foundation, a small non-profit that supports orphans by re- homing families as alternative to placing them in orphanages
